After living in the lowcountry for two years, I became totally captivated by the marsh. While living in Savannah, my husband and I spent most of our days off from work kayaking through various waterways. I was fascinated by the subtle mysteries of the long grass, the tide changes, and how the light played off the landscape at different hours of the day.
